I did my gold award for honoring veterans for their bravery and sacrifice to this country. I felt that they needed more recognition. According to my results on the evaluations, the veterans felt honored for what they have done for their country. As I researched this opportunity, I realized that veterans love to be honored for their service just with a simple thank you. However, I wanted to go above and beyond for our veterans. I am proud of what I was able to accomplish through doing this project and I hope that veterans feel as proud as I did. Have you thanked a veteran today? I would feel honored for any Girl scout to recreate this event for veterans in their area.
